A simple universal Apple OS app to log and remind myself of valuable lessons learned through the journey of my life. It’s similar to my Album Shuffle project in that serves as a pedagogical experience with Apple development, this time with SwiftUI as the focus. I’d gotten a taste of how such a rich app framework can be amazingly productive when I dabbled in Flutter/Dart development some time ago.
This is a project I’ve longed wanted to pursue because, like Album Shuffle, it’s simple in nature while serving a very beneficial personal purpose. I’ve been journaling life lessons over several years, until now logging them in note apps like OneNote or Apple Notes. At times when life gets confusing, frustrating, depressing or any other way evocative of energy I seek to channel into personal growth, I revisit these lessons, reviewing those I’ve already learned, and logging those I am in the process of learning. These moments can happen anywhere and at any time and I what I’ve consistently imagined and longed for in these moments is increased accessibility of these lessons to better accommodate this spontaneity in ways my traditional note taking apps have not offered. With the simplicity of a user experience that is limited to a list of lessons, and the rich/wide deployment model offered by SwiftUI I I aim to realize that imagination.
